Fargoish is a small, independent city guide in the spirit of the big-city magazines, sized for the Red River Valley: what to do tonight and this weekend, what just opened, what City Hall did, and how to survive game day. There's a kids-and-family side, Fargoish Jr., and a Thursday email.
How the listings get here
- Every event comes from the organizer's own calendar: venues, theaters, museums, libraries, park districts, the cities and the universities. We track 48 of them; 25 are on the calendar right now.
- A script checks those calendars every night and rebuilds the site, so Today, Tonight and This weekend stay current.
- Every listing links back to its source. If the source changes something, the source wins. Confirm before you drive across the river.
- We don't copy other local event sites or aggregators. A few places only post on Facebook; we check those by hand when we can.
- Guides like the winter indoor guide are checked on each place's own website and show a "last checked" date.
- Photos marked "stock" are licensed stock photos, not pictures of the events or venues.
