Questions, answered
What is Fargo known for?
The 1996 movie, for one: the woodchipper from it is on display at the Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center (2001 44th St S, I-94 exit 348), open daily 9 a.m.–4 p.m. The Hjemkomst Center across the river in Moorhead has a 76-foot Viking ship replica and a stave church.
Where is the Fargo woodchipper?
Inside the grain-elevator Visitors Center at 2001 44th St S, off I-94 at exit 348, open daily 9 a.m.–4 p.m., per Visit Fargo-Moorhead. No admission is listed.
What should I do on a first visit to Fargo?
See the woodchipper, the Plains Art Museum (always free) and a show or film at the Fargo Theatre downtown, then cross the river for the Hjemkomst Center's Viking ship. For beer, Drekker and the Brewhalla market are a few blocks from downtown.
